Welcome,

About My Practice

I view the therapy room as a microcosm of the outside world—a space to explore the dynamics and patterns that shape your life. Together, we notice the interactions, emotions, and experiences that arise between us in sessions. By bringing awareness to these unseen dynamics, we open the door to insight and meaningful change.

Therapy is, at its heart, a place to share and make sense of your story—to understand how it has been shaped and to imagine how it might evolve. Through reflection and dialogue, new perspectives emerge, and you begin to author new possibilities in your life.

I offer in-person sessions in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, and tele-therapy for clients in New York and Connecticut. Consistent weekly sessions create the rhythm and continuity that allow trust and transformation to deepen over time.

While psychotherapy focuses on exploring your story through conversation, I also offer ways to engage with it through writing.

Writing as a Path to Insight

Writing can be a bridge between reflection and change. My expressive writing and journaling groups help participants reconnect with themselves, strengthen emotional well-being, and cultivate a lifelong writing practice.

Blending psychology, neuroscience, and creativity, each group offers space to explore thoughts and emotions on the page in a guided, supportive setting.

Writing slows the mind, clarifies emotions, and gives voice to what can be difficult to say aloud. Whether through therapy or writing, my goal is to help you find your voice, notice patterns, and foster growth and resilience.

If you’re drawn to writing but prefer a more individualized experience, personalized coaching offers another way to explore this work.

Personalized Writing Coaching

For those who want to deepen their writing practice outside of therapy, I offer one-on-one expressive writing coaching—individualized sessions that combine reflection, creativity, and emotional insight.

Some people choose coaching because they want more focused attention, a flexible schedule, or a private space to explore. Whatever your reason, writing coaching offers a supportive way to reconnect with yourself through words.

Writing coaching is not psychotherapy and does not involve diagnosis or treatment. Instead, it draws on principles from psychology and neuroscience to support personal growth, creativity, and self-understanding in a a guided therapeutic setting.

If there is a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, you must be the one to write it.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. My work is psychoanalytically informed and trauma-focused, guided by empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s story.

I grew up on the East Coast as a first-generation American of mixed European and Latin American heritage. Navigating a multifaceted identity inspired in me a deep appreciation for the many ways people define themselves and find belonging. This background continues to shape my work, bringing a sense of introspection and openness to each session. As a therapist, I see self-reflection and adaptability as essential traits that I encourage in my clients—and practice in myself. I feel honored to support clients in their journeys of self-discovery, healing, and identity cohesion.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from NYU, a certificate in infant, child, and adolescent psychotherapy from NYIPT, and have completed advanced training through IPSS.
In 2022, I presented at the Division 39 Psychoanalytic Psychology Annual Conference on teletherapy and gender in therapeutic spaces.

Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in a variety of settings, including an outpatient hospital, schools, community-based clinics, and with families in the foster care system. These roles have helped me cultivate a compassionate, client-centered approach that honors each individual’s unique story and challenges.

At the heart of my practice is a belief that true change begins with understanding and connection. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I look forward to being part of your journey toward healing, resilience, and greater self-compassion.
